Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Notoria, a web application operated at notoria.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the service.

2. Service Description

Notoria is a web application that helps you digitize, organize, and search your handwritten paper notes using artificial intelligence. You can photograph your notes, and Notoria will process them using AI-powered OCR and transcription to make the content searchable. The service also provides tagging, organization, and semantic search capabilities.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use Notoria.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account. If your information changes, you are responsible for updating it.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Notoria to upload, store, or transmit unlawful content, reverse-engineer the service, overload the system, harm others, interfere with the infrastructure, or violate applicable law.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Notoria. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display it solely to provide the service to you.

6. AI Processing

By using Notoria, you consent to the AI processing of your uploaded content. Documents may be sent to third-party AI providers, including OpenAI and OpenRouter, for OCR, transcription, tagging, and embeddings.

AI-generated results are provided on an as-is basis and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated output before relying on it.

7. Payment Terms

Notoria offers both free and paid tiers. Paid plans provide additional credits and features. Payments are processed through Stripe. Credit purchases are non-refundable.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that poses a security risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Notoria is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Notoria, its operators, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brazil.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the service before the changes take effect.
